MF52 backhoe

I recently acquired a MF52 Backhoe attachment and attached it to my MF40 with a MF34 Fri t loader on it.

The swing cylinder is not holding position and is inconsistent with pressure in either direction. I checked the main relief valve and had 1500psi.

All the other functions worked well until recently when all levers seem to strain the engine to almost stalling with little movement from each lever. Then it will operate normal randomly.

Today Backhoe cap assembly started leaking through what looked like tiny pinholes. Where can I find a replacement cap assembly?

Would it be a good idea to take the whole control valve apart and clean it real good?

Jaypat88 do you have the MF40 work shop manual? it covers the backhoe trouble shooting and servicing. Possibly the main relief on the loader valve is intermittently not relieving causing the pump to dead head when only small valve motions are attempted with any of the backhoe spools. Is that cap rusted through, might need to contact a salvage yard or if possible clean and make a braze repair.

fluid sprays through where the plug is on the cap. When pull any lever and it starts to labor the engine.

i am planing on changing the hydraulic filter and replace the fluid. should I have the cap fixed or is it missing a plug?
