Mf65 hydraulics

I have a my 65 not sure on year. The lift on the loader works
and has 2100 psi. The 3pt works as well but the tilt is slow
and erratic only goes out so far at times and weak. I’m getting
little to no pressure for it. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi, if you have quick release couplings on the bucket hoses make sure that they are opening fully. Temporarily remove them if you can.

Thanks Ive tried testing the cylinders there all good. I think its got to be the spool if its just the one side leaking internally. If theres any insight to removing it or rebuilding,

Have you checked the oil level in the transmission? If you are sure
that there is no restriction in the couplings and that they are fully
open then the operating valve should be checked next. Check for any
play in the handle linkage that could prevent the spool being fully
activated. Have you disconnected the supply line to the loader valve
and fitted a gauge to check pressure being generated by the pump?
With this hose still disconnected and the engine set to about 15/1600
revs how long does it take to fill a one gallon/5 litre oil measure?

What brand and model is the loader? Single or double acting lift cylinders? You do not say if it is running off the internal tractor pump or a separate crankshaft driven pump just for the loader. Swap the hoses for the bucket functions to where the lift hoses are on the valve and the lift hoses to where the bucket hose are on the valve. If the bucket works and the lift doesn't work with the hoses swapped, the valve has a problem. If the bucket still doesn't work, I would suspect the bucket cylinder packings failed.

Ive checked the oil drained and replaced. Its an internal pump in the rear end, so no way to check supply pressure before spool. I checked the linkage. Its a double acting cylinder. Not sure loader brand and model. I switched the couplers with the lift and tilt works fine. So I guess it would have to be the valve. I can post a pic of it tomorrow. Any advice on taking it apart. I think its connected to the standpipe going to the pump?

Hi, you will need to disconnect the supply hose to the loader valve.
Fit a 3000psi gauge to the end of this hose. You should have an
almost instant reading on the gauge. If it’s at all slow that would point
to the pump or filter.
