mf65 marvel carb rebiuld help

I rebiult the carb on my mf65, it is a marvel tsx 695. The float sets level, seems like I have all the parts together right, but the tractor wont run at full throttle. It will idle fine, but when I try and put it up to full throttle, it runs for a minute then stalls out. If I put the throttle back down as it is stalling, the tractor will stay running. I am not very familiar with carbs, I have set the bottom screw (the main jet) out 1 turn, and the top screw out one turn. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

Chris, On your model carb. set the idle in a range between 1 and 2 turns, Set the main between
1 1/8 - 1/3/8. The range is given as some engs.
may vary. You will need to turn outwards to start. Chuck

You might have to experiment with the linkage to the governor, there is a turnbuckle and locking nut that might need to be soaked with pen oil first. Check the springs on it too. If you get the results you like by adjusting the carb, then don't mess with this, depends how bad it ran and for how long before you rebuilt it.

Thank you for the help, I have the tractor running okay now, but my governor does seem to be acting up. Today it actually got worse and the throttle position was not doing anything. I am in the dissasembaly stage now, got the fuel tank out and the hood and side panel off. The large spring seems to not be catching on something on the rod. I am going to try and find some diagrams of how this is actually supposed to be assembled.

If I recall correctly, the governor inside the front cover of the engine has a direct link to the carb's throttle plate. The throttle lever only sets the preload against that linkage. I have a book here somewhere...
