I was out with a finish mower having a good old time when all of a sudden the lift arms started bouncing up ,and down no matter what I did. I raised it up, that made it worse. Lowered it all the way down, seemed to help but didnt stop it. I pulled the cover on the right side and made sure the levers were moving and nothing was stuck. What is wrong with this thing?
Thanks.

Hi Mike,
When you say 'bouncing', is the linkage pulsing or actually rising slightly and then falling back and then rising again etc....?
As a starting point disconnect the top link and raise the 3-pt linkage as far as is safe to do so. Alternativly connect a chain from the hinged pin lugs to the mower so that you can lift it without using the top link attachment point.
Check if the bouncing is still present.
Let us know what you find.

The lift arms jerk up and down when I raise them all the way up, and they still jerk when lowering. They do this with or without anything attached to them, meaning no weight at all or the mower. It gets worse the higher you lift it though. If that makes any sense.
Thanks,
Mike
