MH Clipper SP Combine

I saw an add for this combine, Now if have seen several old Massey Harris combines but I have never seen one like this. Has tricicle rear stearing look to be 60 to 70 inch cut, opperator sits in the middle. Makes me think of the MH SP Pickers setup for the engine and air stack. What MH combine is this one? Bandit

I'm no expert on the subject, but I believe the model designation was just that "Self Propelled Clipper Combine"..

I don't have one, nor have I studied the subject a whole lot, but I was also under the understanding that most of the "working parts" are just the same as a pull type Clipper combine.

I have a friend who is a BIG Massey guy (has well over 150 tractors/combines/implements) and he is the one that told me the above information. I'm assuming it's something he has read in a book, but could just be something he was told.

I agree the air intake and such looks like a self-propelled picker, however, on the picker you sit more to the left as opposed to center like on the combine (I know a little bit about the pickers, as I have one sitting in the yard.. Hoping to get to giving the engine a overhaul before winter)

I showed one just like it at Winfield,KS last weekend...Roger showed a picture of it on here..Its just a Massey Clipper SP combine...I have a nice one and 2 rough ones...

This is just one of those combines that caught my eye because I have never seen one like it before. Looks small enough to haul on a car trailer. Looks like it would be great to cut timothy, clover and other small seeds and grains. Bandit

I ran one of them in 1951 and 52. Nice little combine had 7ft straight header. Can't remember what engine, probably a small Case 4 cyl.(VAC).
