MH33 difficulty restarting

The tractor is difficult to start after engine is warmed up. I have instaled new 6 volt battery and gave it a tune up. Any body have any hints.

Just a thought. There is a difference in size between 6v and 12v battery cables. I believe the 6's are larger. Someone with more knowledge than me can probably tell the sizes.

Dose it have difficulty truning the engine over fast enough when warm? If so then it could be the battery cables! Six volts do take a larger cable then 12 or your starter is drawing too many amps, check your brushes and bushings! If it cranks fine but dose not start then there is something else wrong!!

There are two possiblities to look at. The first is that the battery cables are 12V and not 6V sized. The other is that the timing is too fast for the starter to crank against when firing. The advanced timing will get you a little more power if you upgrade it to 12V so you can start it.
