MH44 Steering Bushing

Hi Guys. The steering on my MH44K is a little loose and it has been suggested that I need two new bushings. In my parts book they are 17 947 A. Bushing (2-1/4 x 2-3/8 x 3/4").
Can these be purchased new or if I have to try to get them made, what metal are they made of?
Any help appreciated. Thanks. Rod.

You can buy a brass bushing from hardware store that has mill supply. That where I get them, just rebuilt Pony steering.Cost about $8-10 ea. Just measure ID and OD.

These should be the bushings in the "steering post", right? if so, I believe mine were brass or bronze. I tapped one of mine out and a neighbor that has a weld shop doctored me up. I'm unsure what he made them from, didn't ask.. But he did say they'd be softer than the steering shaft, so they'd wear before chewing up the shaft (like that'd happen running the tractor a whole 2 or 3 hours a year...)
