MI engine ID number?

Just throwing this out there. My parts tractor is an MT with an MI engine, I think. The block looks bigger, the oil dipstick is not a bayonet style and it's located on the right side. There are a couple of other small plugs on the block that I don't see on my current MT rebuild project. The "MI" engine stamp number is T10966T.

Can anyone confirm I've got a MI engine here and is it worth more than a standard M engine?

Thanks, Ron.

If it's has the dip stick on the right and looks bigger, it's likely a late 420/430 block. All M's had the dip stick on the left. I don't have my parts book with me to check that number. Worth more? As a engine maybe, not on the tractor as it doesn't match.

Thanks Larry. The guy that sold it to me said it was an MI engine but the serial plate says MT. I'd like to confirm what it actually is so I can accurately advertise once I'm ready to sell it. I appreciate your input.

what you have is a later replacment block. it would be the correct block for a 330, or a replacment for a m, mt, mi, mc, or a 320. it could be worth a little more for somone who has a broken 330 block.

Hi guys.

Just found an online Two Cylinder article that confirms my parts tractor engine is a 330. It's a very good article about Dubuque engines.

Thanks for the direction!
