Miller Welder Troubles

I have been working on a Miller Big 40 gasoline powered welding machine for a customer and cant get it to weld or run a 110 v power tool. I have cleaned and checked the brushes and slip rings. they are fine. The engine runs great. I have checked all the leads. Even flashed the fields. All wiring looks good, no loose ends that is evident. I have ordered two rectifier and will replace these when they get here. Does anyone have any suggestions? The machine was welding fine then put in storage for a few months. When taken out now it wont weld. Alsoany websites where I could get some help? Thanks Johnny

I've called Miller several times over the years and talked to someone in their tech services department. In my case I've always had good luck with them being able to stear me in the right direction. Good luck.

Yes call Miller, they're all about customer service! I repainted an mid 80's 330 A/BP Tig machine about 10-years ago, I called Miller to see if I could buy new decals for it. Nope stop making them years ago, but the guy mailed me about 15 of the modern decals free! Don't know what I'm going to do with them, in fact don't know where they are.
