milwaukee sawzall cord

While prowling at the boneyard I found a nearly new milwaukee sawzall. The cord is missing. It plugs in and has a 3 pin connector.Where is the best place to locate one? anything interchangeable?

The cord is called "Quik Lok". I would look at e-bay, Home Depot, Lowes, Grainger, MSC, McMaster and even amazon.

Had a similar situation about 5 years ago.
A guy threw out a Milwaukee Right Angle Drill and for some reason he cut the cord right off near the connection.
I went to the elecrical supply house near me who happens to be an authorized Milwaukee dealer and I picked up a new cord for around $19.00.
Just go to the Milwaukee site and look for a dealer near you.

I would check it with a killer cord before I looked for a correct one, the former owner probably threw it away because it was no good but kept the cord for his other Milwaukee tools!

Even if it doesn"t work you should be able to get any part you need to fix it, the older ones at least are fairly simple.

Some stores have the nasty habit of cutting the cord off the display models. When the display is no longer needed, the tool is thrown out.

There are two styles of Milwaukee Quik-Locs - the old type has slender, round electrical prongs in the tool socket; the newer type has flat blades (sturdier).

I've got 25 footers.

What sometimes happens is the plug sockets get loosened up from people winging them around by the cord and they think the tool is bad. I have three Milwalkee tools that were pitched at work because of that problem and I fixed them with a new cord. If you can figgure out a safe way to power up the pins and check it out the cords are available seperate.
