Minimum trailer size for towing 1401d

I was wondering what size trailers people are using to tow their Yanmars? I have a 5x10 foot single axle utility trailer with a 2000# axle with no brakes and a 1/2 ton 4WD truck.

Seems like this setup might not be heavy duty enough for a comfortable safety margin. Any thoughts?

Wouldn't be a very fun tow. I would go with a tandem axle, especially if you ever install a FEL or want to carry along a tiller/mower/blade. Just my $.02

It actually has a FEL and Rototiller attachment on it, so I guess I'll have to shop for a trailer before I move it anywhere. Thanks!

You could use your present trailer this way:

Put 70 lbs in the tires, block up the back end so when you drive up the ramp it won't rip the hitch off the ball or raise the back of the truck, keep the FEL above the tailgate and the rear attachment up so the rig won't be too long, chain it down extra thoroughly, stay at low speeds on bump-free and level ground, hope no cop sees you.

Some states, Texas for one, require brakes if you are towing more than a certain weight. The ticket could be an expensive one if you get caught violating weight restrictions. Really recommend a tandem axle with brakes.
