Im a John Deere guy but have been wondering and thinking, about a MMoe. In and around my area the Farmall M"s and Olive 88"S are the one to beat. I heard and read some stuff about MM-UT,s. I have a good work shop boring bar, sunnen hone , large lathe mill etc. Just never seen harvest gold around here. And dont know what parts interchange crank,s jug,s etc. Where should I start looking-reading.

I can't believe no-one has answered you. I worked on U MM a long time ago. With stock parts you can build a 533 cu 4 cylinder. I believe a U came with a 5" stroke and a 4.25 bore. 283 cu. A M5 same stroke and 4 5/8 bore 336. a G had a 6" stroke. and same bore as M5. M&W pistons were 4 3/4. I think that makes 425cu. The 800 heads and blocks are 5 & 5/16 will fit on U crankcase with a little work. That is your 533. M&M heads don't breath very well valves are shrouded. 800 heads better. but not legal in NATPA division 1 2 3 4 They are in 5. I have heard of 1400 6 cyl MM so that is 933 4 cyl. May be someone that really knows will weigh in Vic 618 636 2225
