Minneapolis Moline UTS Head Milling

I'm having the valves done on my UTS' heads and I am wondering if it would be worth it to have them milled down to get extra compression? Would I be able to take enough off the heads to get a significant change in compression?

What fuel and what head casting number do you have? Probably better to find a set of higher compression heads tho.

It's gonna run on pump gas and they are GE30E/10A4209 heads.

I’m thinking about milling a set of heads also, so another good question is how much can be milled off and be safely away from water jackets?

GE30E are 5.4 to 1 compression. Doubt milling would gain much. Start with a high compression head
