Missing Serial Number Plate

Is there any other way to determine serial number or at least year of a MF 135, if the plate is gone under the dash? Looking to buy a MF135 and it is missing the plate. Thanks

If it's old enough (1964) it will have the serial number plate behind the air filter. You have to remove the air filter to get at it.

You can also look at the casting date on the oil pan. It's at the front under the radiator. Should have month-day-year of when the engine was born.
