Mitsubishi BD2G Crawler

I recently bought the above cat.
The powershift tranny was overheating badly & I finally discovered there is a screen in the bottom of the tranny that has to be cleaned along with changing the filter.
I have done that but the tranny continues to overheat.
The manual calls for 5w10 weight oil but no one around here ( Alberta Canada ) has ever heard of a 5w10 oil.
I tried straight 10 weight to no avail.
Would Caterpiller 10 weight oil work ?
Has anyone out there run into this overheating problem ?? Does anyone have any suggestions or solutions ??
