MM Backhoe Identification #

Hey everyone!! I just purchased a Minneapolis Moline Backhoe and I'm having trouble crossing numbers with Models
The Model# on the tag is 206H
and then Vin is 10006079
Any help is greatly appreciated

I think you are Looking at the Tag on the Engine. Big Mo 400 used a 206 ci Engine
I am not sure were the chassis tags are on the Industrial models
Take some pictures and someone here should able to tell you waht you have

Looks like the loader lift cylinders are tied up with chain and rope. Some wire brushes and a couple gallons of paint will spiff it up.

Looks like the loader lift cylinders are tied up with chain and rope. Some wire brushes and a couple gallons of paint will spiff it up.

Yeah, I have a square bar under the loader arm, it's tied on with ratchet straps
I'm replacing all the hyd hoses, full tune up, new ribbed front tires
I've scraped all the scale and loose paint,
Like you suggested. a good wire brushing. and a couple gals of implement paint

Some people like those vehicle tires on loader tractors with full buckets. I think it's because they handle loads better. Someone here might say for sure why they do it. Have fun with it.

Yup! Regular tires would handle loads better for sure, in farming work the ribs work better for turning when you are pulling loads,

You're going to have to rely on visual identification if you can't find a tag with a number on it. I don't think there are any online parts books for the Minneapolis Moline tractors anywhere to look up part numbers.

I did a little poking around Google images and it looks like a Big Mo 500. Any pictures I could find claiming to be a Big Mo 400 did not have headlights in the grille, but the Big Mo 500 did.
