MM crawlers

Did MM make any crawlers besides the "2 star crawler", "MOTRAC CRAWLER (Dieser), and the "MOTRAC CRAWLER (Gas)" ?
And does anyone have the Serial Numbers of these crawlers?
Milton

In fact Minneapolis Moline did make a Prototype crawler. It is a 445 with a D2 catapillar undercarriage. This version was a gasoline model and it is the only one known to exist. It is featured in one of the Minneaoplis Moline Collector magazines. I cant remeber which one it is but yes they did make it.

I seen this crawler at the Rollag show in MN about 3 years ago, even talked to the owner. At that time he was from MN just not sure where abouts. All the casting numbers had an X on the end of them which pretty much defines it as an experimental version. Nice looking rig though!!

Jake, It's on the back page of the August 2006 MM Corresponder, restored pictures, Ted Nelson, Kerrick, NY is the owner.

Thanks boys, for that information on the MM "445" crawler. I"ve typed out the SERIAL NUMBERs for
most, if not, all of Twin City and MM tractors,
the Twin City tractors are a little confuseing
to figure out. We growed up using International
tractors, although dad bought a MM baler in 1948
and we used it for 10 or so years, it was a very dependable baler, I wish that I had it back.

Thanks again,
Milton

Good Morning Jake, --- 27 / Dec. / 2008 ---
I don"t know if is or not. We sold it at a auction, and didn"t keep up with it.

This may have been the same crawler tractor that was at the Nowthen show in 06 or 07. I have some pictures of it and should learn how to post them. It was done by a young Ford dealership mechanic (early 30's I'd guess) maybe from the Milaca area. When his Dad went to pick up the X tractor from the Hopkins plant, factory workers dropped it while loading on their trailer. So they have done a great amount of welding on the rear gear case housing, mostly on the right side. They found that only 3 (?) gear cases had been cast, so they fixed what they had. He and his Dad had a very nice presentation.
