someone told me you could put a 800 industrial engine in a U and would bolt right up is that truy or is there alot involived to make it work?

I did it, not too bad. You must swap out the input shaft on the trans for the longer one to reach through the adapter bell. I used all GVI parts, yep it all bolts together.

Yeah, any MM big block four or six cylinder will bolt in to anything from a model U on up. There is a "small bell" and a "big bell" crankcase but this can be acheived by swapping a few parts and an extra center section piece from a GBD or GVI. I even saw a picture of a 6cyl 5-star once.
