Hi Minnmo. I have a 585 in my summer work tractor that is need of a rebore or a conversion. It is in a 2270 White, same as 2-150, just a model older. (4000 hrs) I'm looking for someone who knows what is required to put in, say a 5.9 Cummins or ????. I understand that these engines have several areas that are weak and therefore am not sure if it's wise to spend money on rebuilding it, even if I get it to work properly again it is still old technology, hard starting, and hard on fuel. Cummins seens to be a common choice for a repower,but I have yet to meet someone who has done this particular style of tractor. Any thoughts on O.H. or repower??
