MM JOSH

I'm thinking about putting a HD220 in a MM R, what kind of bore and stroke numbers are pullers using? What kind of flywheel, starter ring, starter and clutch problems do run into? Thanks for any info, Josh.

A succesful NATPA puller has a 4-1/8 X 6-1/2 at 347 cubes. Runs pretty good. Also there is a 4-7/16 X 6-1/2 in NC. Runs on LP very well.

There are literally dozens of options and combos on these engines. The R tranny may be a weakpoint if you pull heavy and/or deadweight pulls.

Use the R flywheel, HD220 starter ring, and get a later 9" R clutch refaced with ceramin buttons and you should be ok.
