MM UB battery hook up

I'm assuming this is negative ground set up. I believe the postitve lead goes to the starter and teh negative lead is grounded to the block. Am I correct or wrong, and if I am correct is there a designated place to ground the negative lead?

UB came from the factory 12 Volt Positive ground with generator but can be configured for either positive or negative ground with generator.

If it has alternator conversion it would be negative ground.

The ground cable connects anywhere on tractor frame. I like to have it as close to the starter as possible.

Here is a link showing diagram with generator. In upper left corner click beck to MM Diagrams and there is one for alternator conversion.

MM Letter Series with Generator/Regulator

I just noticed there is an error on my diagram of the MM Letter series with alternator conversion. Original had coil feed wire connected to BAT on the switch. It should connect to IGN on the switch. I have posted a corrected diagram.

Sorry for the inconvenience,
Bob
