Hey Zack, how do I get that book you wrote. Sounds intriguing. I've always had some theories, being in engineering, but I'd love to hear your take.

Hi Ethan,

You will get a kick out of it, especially some of the free body diagrams you'll see. Check it out at link_disallowed (see link below). Also take a look at the hitch photos and videos - you'll get a kick out of those too. Some videos are conceptual, some are technical, and some are just plain entertaining. I've got more photos I took recently to post as well.

Also, don't forget to sign up for the newsletter, I'm working on the latest issue right now with a neat article on wheelbase and weight percentages. The Motrac Unload video is explained in full detail in one of the older issues in a feature called "Learning The Hard Way".

Send me some feedback if you get a chance. I'm always interested and open to suggestions.

By the way, we had a mid-week pull this past Wednesday at the Benton County Fair. The MM's cleaned up in the 4000, 6000, 7000, 8000, and 9000lb classes. My ZA had an AWESOME hook. We got the whole thing on video so stay tuned.

Here's a neat pic - Dad's M670 loaded on the trailer before the pull.

Zack thanks for the imfo and pictures , going to get the BOOK . this week at the cheshire fair in N.H. molines won 5,7,8,9,10,and 11 ,000 some of these classes had 10 JD;s etc. ( just keeping the faith) thanks Bob

What Zack forgot to mention is that in a few of the classes there were only 1 or 2 tractors. LOL

The Prairie Gold had a good showing there for sure. Zack's ZAU, his Dads UBU and 670, a G707, a UTU, and a ZAS. Pretty good for only 24 tractors total.

Zack has put a LOT of time and effort into his book and done a fantastic job. Its a great thing for both the beginner and the vets. It gives great information, especially with the speed charts and lots of hints for balancing. Even with all the different tracks, tractors, and other combonations out there, i really think there is something in his book for everyone.

Hey Bob, Maybe Molines won but I got the trophy (and I'm looking at it right now) with my Ford in the 10,000 and Bob B got it with his D-21 in the 11,000. We each got second in the other. Maybe MMs got thirds. I did notice that you beat the Ollie. Congratulations.

SHOW-CROP Tell it right, you and bob b where in the enhanced class, not stock farm. com-yellow is right about trophies,we got two here for the 9000 and 10000 classes with our gbd,our oliver got second in same class you cant get 2 firsts in same class

colin it was good to see you in the right class there is hope for you, just thinking you where asked not to be at that fair, do you make amends

showcrop STOCK classes something you don;t know anything about YOU ARE IN THE INHANCED CLASS even tho you keep trying to pull stock with a 200hp 9700 ford calling it a 9000 to get into the under 1970 rule

ACTUALLY showcrop, if I recall, and I'm certain I recall correctly because, oh funny thing, I was THERE, but I'm certain that you were in the ENHANCED class and not the stock class. So maybe before you try and steal someones' thunder you should try not just to tell part of the truth to make yourself look better but tell the WHOLE TRUTH! It's quite a concept really, try it you might like it! While you did get a first place trophy, it's really not too difficult to get a first and a second out of TWO tractors! So actually, I guess that kind of means you got a first and a last then, huh? Doesn't really sound quite as glorious anymore does it?

SORRY EVERYBODY!!! I guess I just didn't pay close enough attention to how they divided the classes up, and who was walking away with trophies. I had been under the impression that in the heavier classes it was the same as Saturday where the three big tractors all disqualified ourselves by running out of bounds. I was trying to do the right thing there entering 10 and 11 instead of 8 and 9.

That's nice. the power adjust wheels are a great different touch. We used them on a UB for a while to lighten it up some. It looked great!
