MN air compressor

Cruising around the aisle at Menards, I noticed the air compressors they sell, Masterforce, are made in Springfield, Minnesota. Does anyone have information about these air compressors? Good or bad?

Air compressors have been made in Springfield, Minnesota for a long time. Maybe not top of the line, but if they're still in business they must have done something right.

Masterforce is a brand name of tools sold by Mernards. They are made by many different manufacturers for Mernards, Masterforce doesn't make anything.

Might look it over closely, there may be a manufacturers tag hidden somewhere on it. I doubt it is made in USA, maybe rebranded, repackaged, assembled, but probably not actually made in USA.

The air compressor that is made here in Minnesota is a very good brand. My dad used to work for this company called Industrial Air decades ago. I dont live to far from Springfield Minnesota. Good company. I think you would be pleased with it. Just my thoughts. Kow Farmer.

Im not impressed with the link I provide, but it has some info for you.

Im about 30 miles from the Sanborn plant in Springfield. Im going to assume the company originally started in the town of Sanborn farther west, but moved to Springfield? Anyhow it has been there as long as I know, many many years.

They have made a lot of compressors over the years.

I think they have a middle of the road, good enough, reputation. See a lot of them around here, people seem happy with the Sanborn line.

Probably depends on the specs that Menards tells them to build to.

Any compressor that has a bolted on aluminum exit for the hose or second stage to fasten it on is junk and I'd run not walk away. You want the fitting to screw into the head or be a cast or steel piece. Friend got one of those cheap made models and the aluminum cast piece warped/sprung so it would leak could not put enough, or thin enough gasket on to hold and seal. I've been looking at a Sailor Beal made in St Johns MI.
