Participating in this plowing match has been on my bucket list for some time. This year it worked to attend. As the only Case there it received a lot of attention. Had fun time and learned what you need to accomplish to be competitive. Did not win but hopefully we can do this again.

Hi Rod. Where was this plowing located at, if I may ask please? I dont think I ever heard or read about it. Tractor and plow look great by the way too. Kow Farmer Kurt

Rod, Great looking CASE 770 AND PLOW, GLAD YOU WERE ABLE TO SHOW IT ON PLOW DAY. I have a 770 with the a series pull type plow and it does a great level job of plowing. Jerry from Ohio

Glad you were able to participate. Very nice looking 770 and plow. You represented Case well! Do you have stops on the rear cylinder or how do you get the depth set for the rear? How did the 770 handle that plow?

Hi Darrell, There is a stop bolt to adjust the depth, but I need to put stops on the cylinder, that would make fine tuning easier. The 770 handles the plow well in any soils since the addition of the turbo. This plow does a great job of plowing but will never win this competition. The 12 and 14 in plows give a better result for the conditions the judges are looking at. Because this competition goes world wide they use a set of European standards to judge results.

The event was held 30 miles north of us near Lake Wilson. It is a event that does not get much publicity anymore, maybe because plowing is no longer popular. Also can be really boring to watch if you do not understand what the contestants need to accomplish to receive high scores. Kind of addicting , I want to try again, Rod.

Also forgot to mention, the site of the event changes every year, it was close so a great opportunity for me. Talk is next year to have it near Farm Fest.

Welcome to the world of plowing matches, it's a great sport and you have a good rig to compete with! Plowing matches are more a skill and thinking sport than raw horsepower and money sport, You live in a state with a good plowing organization and some world class plowmen who are willing to help. After you get the general idea of what you want to do, the tinkering and tweaking you can do is limited only by your imiganation. Next years national matches are supposed to be held in Minnesota next year, I'm planning on being there and hope to see you there!
