model 60 coil

the coil on my 60 is bad using the delco remy # it shows as a condensor this is probably the original coil as it is a 1 owner tractor and is a 1956 any numbers for a coil from the local napa ?thanks

if there's anyone working there that still knows how to read books, they have a book they can look it up in. but just any regular generic coil as long as the voltage is the same.

echlin IC64 at NAPA around $64 list. fits gas tractor not LP. bill m.

Is the tractor equipped with a ignition coil ballast resistor and bypass starting?
If there is no resistor, an ordinary 12V, 3.0 ohm coil will do. Coil polarity does matter.
