Model 620

I just purchased a 1972 Model 620 and got it home this weekend. It runs smooth but the last owner said he was cutting grass and it started squeeling and then the belt that runs down from the engine broke. I'm assuming that the bearing froze and caused it. How hard is it to change those 2 bearings? What would the part numbers be on them and the belt?

Just from experience, if you have one arbor that needs bearings, do the other two at the same time. Parts required?? You'll need bearings at a minimum and maybe an arbor shaft. Remove the deck and take it to a Simplicity dealership or an AGCO dealer who sells lawn mowers. They will have the parts or if not can get them.

I was thinking that it was the bearings in the pivot arm. It's the belt from the engine down to that pulley that broke.
