Model 70 JD Diesel

I rebuilt the clutch assembly and lost one of the pins (the short one) that goes on the clutch brake assembly. The tractor is a Model 70 JD Diesel Serial #7021562 (1954). The reduction cover appears to be #55. The pin(s) part numbers are F2362R and F1403R. One is long and the other is about 2/2 to 3/4" long. JD no longer carriers the pins. The shop manual shows where the long pin goes but not the short one. I lost the short one and can not find a replacement or exactly where it goes. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,

Check out Atwoods or any farm and ranch supple store in your area. A log chain hook may just have the right pin, that would fit.

Gene - when I look at the parts diagram that MSD posted, I think only one pin is used. There is a serial number break on the two part numbers. Are you searching the shop for a lost pin that never was there? I've done that.

According to the parts diagram, there is a serial number break on which pin to use. You mentioned possibly having a newer first reduction gear cover, so that may complicate figuring out which one to use, but then, if you lost only one of what you thought were two, maybe you don't need one of them after all. I hope that's the case. Best wishes.

Yeah I think you just got confused looking at that diagram, the part was updated/changed. One is for an early tractor, one is for a later tractor 7031300 and later. SO there's only one pin

I appreciate the suggestions regarding my perceived dilemma. Apparently what I saw and lost was one of the roller bearings from the clutch bearing that came apart.

Thanks very must for your help. I will now proceed to finish the repairs.
