Model 80 baler

Trying to bring this baler back to life. Any video of the latch system that starts the gearbox. Anybody in the attica ny area that ran one of these. Need two needles. Thanks jim

I would try Fry's Machinery in pennsdale pa. They have a massive amount of parts machines of almost any make and model you can think of. I would think there's a good chance they would have the needles for your model 80 baler.

Casting numbers are hard to read. Top one l-7 1-31-51. Bottom l-9 3-12-?

The baler looks nice. If I were you I would just use the needles that you already have they look like they are in decent shape. You might want to check the timing on the needles because they might be out of time and are entering the bale chamber when the plunger in coming back and that's probably how they got snapped in half.

It would definitely be helpful if you had a manual for the baler there are a few on eBay right now for about $20 for the model 80

I have the manual. They are timed know. That's how I found them . Inside broke. I welded them . Need latch and clutch springs.

Do you have any pictures of the springs or latch? You might be able to source the latch or springs off of a New Holland 77 because the model 80 is just the wire tie version of the 77.

Maybe you could try welding it that's probably going to be your best option. As far as the bearing or bushing you might be able to match something up at your local farm stores.
