Model A Flywheel Spacer

My daughter and I are still hard at it restoring her 1950 JD A and have ran into a little problem. The crankshaft was removed and had some work done to it and well as the rods. We removed the flywheel and spacer but read later we were supposed to mark it and put it back in the same place. How do I put it back on and make sure it's in the correct place? The number is AA5409R.

There is notch in the spacer as you call it. It should line up with one of the low splines on the crank. On the backside of the flywheel is a pin. Count how
many grooves it is from the timing mark on the flywheel and then find that timing mark on the crank. Count the same amount of grooves and set the notch in
the spacer so it lines up with the groove you counted. I like to mark that groove with an ink pen and when putting the flywheel back on it should line up with
the pin in it but make sure the timing mark on the flywheel lines up with the timing mark on the crank also. When putting the housing that holds the spacer back on, make sure you use a feeler gauge and check around the spacer so it is not binding up on the housing.
