I am new to the whole tractor thing. My son was driving my recently acquired B and I noticed oil leaking from a small hole. I would think this is not normal anyone have any ideas?

i dont remember a hole in that location. It would serve no purpose.. just splash lube engine oil inside. That little 1/8 inch diameter oil line on the top of the governor pivot arm is suppling a very small amount of oil up front.... along with any splash coming off the front gear train... Maybe put a drop of RTV in the hole after cleaning up any oil residue.

Just looked at one I have off of one of my B's. No hole there and really don't know why there should be one. Those are indeed unique wires!

If I remember Right, there is an oil seal in the governor right there and it's not holding anymore. The hole is letting the excess oil out that's leaking past it into the mag so it doesn't mess up the mag.
