Model L, Front Axle Removal

Greetings. I've removed both wheels, knuckles, tie rod and both pivot shaft bearing caps, I can see the bearings. Now what? How do I remove the front axle from the bearings and the frame? Thanks.

There should be a plate on the front and back side of the tube that has three bolts with shims behind them. Remove those and put aside. You should then be able to drive the axle in one direction or the other pushing the bearing race out of the frame cross member. It seems like it should be fairly easy but I really struggled to get one out of a LA I had in the past.
