Model M1 Plow

What are the chances I will ever fid missing parts for a late 40s early 50s model M1 bottom plow. Need the mid tractor hardware that positions the long shaft in front as well as a complete culter assembly.

eBay has the plow mounting bracket for under the belly on it often. Anywhere from $50 to $200. I believe I saw one on Burch Store tractors website before. I had one but sold it a few years ago.

I might have a coulter or parts of one. I know I have a few around but am not sure what shape the actual disk is in on them. I have seen them on eBay before as well.

Everyone states in their ads "fits M & MT" but they are not the same parts between these 2 machines.

I have a 1947 "M" Model which I have mechanically restored. Engine, clutch, brakes, Touch O'Matic etc. Blasted and painted. Yet to do the hood and grill restore. I have run it a few hours mowing with a grooming mower. Want to plow under some pasture and re-seed.

Agreed. Same with the land plows. The main beam is shorter for a plow that is only meant for a M. The MT plow beam is longer. Also, the MT bracket is longer than that for the M. When you go to plow it doesn't all work quite right.

How would I determine whether I have an "M" or an "MT" plow if there are differences?

The only difference is on an MT plow the "pole" is about 13" longer. An MT Plow will work just fine on an M, but the M plow will not work on an MT.

I think what the original poster was referring to is the depth control device where the pole from the plow goes into. The M and MT are different. You must have the correct one.

Hay maker 2, where are you located? I may be interested in some M implements if i lived close enough to pick them up. I am in eastern PA.

Do you have any implements that your willing to trade?
Have duplicates of some and will to trade only.
Just curious to what you have as I do not know anyone that has as much as I do, hopefully someone out there has more.
