Hello again. I'm continuing on my restoration of my 1952 John Deere AR. This time I have a question about what types of modern oils to use considering the originally spec'd stuff is now nearly impossible to find. So if anyone has good info that would help here's the specified oil from JD:
Engine oil - 10.4L of SAE 20
Transmission - 30.3L of SAE 90
Hydraulic - 30.3L of SAE 30
I'm Canada, but the tractor is housed inside a heated shop so will never need to start or operate in the cold. It is a well worn unit so I would assume always go a little more viscous?
What modern equivalents should I use?
Thoughts
