Modified tractor?

I came across this ad on my local Craigslist and I was wondering why someone would modify a tractor in this fashion? It looks like they moved the steering column and seat ahead 2-3 ft. They also added power steering and foot brakes. I can understand these last two mods but sitting on the tranny baffles me. The only thoughts I have is maybe they wanted a better view of the crop they were cultivating, picking, etc, or else possibly for a smooth ride. Either way it must not have worked as well as intended based on current condition. Whats your thoughts.

To put more weight on the front end to help keep the tires on the ground when you're powering on.

Looks to me that it would make it easier to get on and off of. I have a CA and you have to get up on it then get down in it. Just say'in!

That looks like a WC rear end. Probably trying to make it more comfortable to ride on.

Well, if it must not have worked, all those D15s Allis Chalmers made were made wrong. Hey! maybe that was a 'rare' experimental Allis.

Really, at this point of time, we don't know how long it functioned in that configuration before it was stripped.
