Here is the info on the FORD & DEARBORN PLOWS. Hope it clarifies your questions, Showcrop.

Forget paint colors - they don't ID a plow model and could be pink or orange now. You may be confused with the model numbers as the 101 often is. The first early DEARBORN MOLDBOARD (PRIOR MODEL) PLOW, Model 10-1, the 14 model, used 47-50, often gets mixed up with the later FORD Model 101 Plow; both are different animals. The Moldboard Plow used a straight cross-shaft arm and the upright 'A' Frame was a steel stamped two-part unit. The ECONOMY PLOW, released in 1950, a better plow design, now used an L cross-shaft arm and the upright A Frame was a two-piece solid steel unit. Points were different and not interchangeable. In 1954 DEARBORN was dissolved and the DMC was absorbed and morphed into the FORD TRACTOR & IMPLEMENT DIVISION. Model and part numbers remained the same only now carried the FORD logo, not DEARBORN. The FORD Blue Empire paint scheme was not introduced until 1962 with the Thousand Series Tractors. FTO, FORD TRACTOR OPERATIONS, was the new name now. This is when the 101 SERIES PLOWS were introduced. They were a better plow than the Economy Plows as they now had adjustment arms and trip brackets with shear bolts. When a new model was released, the old model was then obsolete. Note the differences between the cross-shafts and 'A' Frames.

Mine is last 2 pic. Has J bolt instead of lever. Crossbar is not a welded part but that may Cat 1 hitch that is. Have no coulters but have clamp assemblys.

Cool, always wanted a 101 plow. I had 17 Dearborn's, 2 Ford-Ferguson's, and two FORD plows at one time. Plus an Ferguson/Roderick Lean Plow with the first 3-pt hitch. Oops. I replied to your first post as Showcrop....sorry, reading and typing too many posts at once.

If you are looking for parts, try OSMUNDSEN'S, HERSCHEL'S, or PLOWORX. The latter now offers the old Ford 9N Ferguson-Sherman points but don't know if they also fit the old DEARBORN PRIOR MODEL plows. Listed as Blacksmith shares, p/n R101 & R103. Call and ask. The others make some wear parts for the ECONOMY/FORD Plows. You can get Moldboards, Shares, Shins, and Frogs for 14 and 16 plows but no 10 or 12 inch parts and nobody makes coulters and jointers for any FORD plows.
