Moline BF

I've had this little BF for several years. It is going to take some work and the motor will need everything. Instead of looking for a running Hercules IXB3 which would be cheaper than rebuilding what I have I thought I would try something different. Has anyone put, say a V-8 on a BF. I have come close to scraping the tractor out but I can't bring myself to it. I really would like to make a unique head turner. Any feed back will keep me motivated Thanks

If you have no plans on pulling with it will sure be differant. Just don't plan on hooking too any wieght,trans and axles won't stand the pressure,have broke several of those with the IXB's. BF's like too try turning over when lower axle breaks,Lots of luck. P.Luna

I'd take a diesel out of a refer-unit. That make it a good little tractor.

I doubt that I would pull the tractor. That is a very good point P.Luna. I was thinkin out loud. As far as the refer motor that"s a real thought. I did some quick research and and found some Perkins 4.108 diesel engines for sale that look like they would bolt right up. LW, is this the kind of engine you are thinking of. Thanks

Yes and there is a older Isuzu that is a good engine.
