moline disk plow

I BOUGHT A MOLINE DISK PLOW WITH 11 24 INCH DISKS IT USED TO BE STEEL WHEEL ONE DISK IS BAD AND I DONT KNOW IF I HAVE TO TAKE IT CLEAR APART OR WHAT. I DONT KNOW THE MODEL NO. TO BUY A BOOK FOR IT. IT HAS THREE LARGE LEVERS FOR HEIGHT ADJUSTMENT. CAN ANY ONE HELP ME WITH THE MODEL NO. OR HOW TO CHANGE THE DISK. THANKS

If all of the discs are on the same shaft you need to get a book for a WP or WPH. The only difference in the two is the WPH is hydraulic lift.

Ours usually had more than one section of disks. Depends upon the width of your one way I suppose. There is a square shaft that runs through that sction of disks. On the first front disk there should be a big nut. I would start some PB Blast or similiar soaking on that nut. We used to lower the whole one way on the ground, then try and get that nut loose. If the bad disk is one of the first 2 or so, you can change it now. If it is further in the section, it will have to be removed from the frame so you can dismantle that section down to the bad disk. Replacement is further complictaed by matching the size of your discs when putting a replacement in. My dad used to cringe when he bought new blades, and had to have them cut down to match the diameter of the rest. Hope this makes sense..........it"s been a long time.
