Moline steering cylinder

I have a moline 708 steering cylinder that leaks at the back end where the shaft moves in and out.All the years that my dad and I ran that tractor the leak was never an issue nor did we stop long enough to diagnose the problem.Now that I've just about finished restoration and want to sell the tractor when restoration is complete the leak has become a real pain in the ---.Is it possible that the rings on the piston could be just as much at fault as the seal in the cylinder head?

Mark, did you complete the repair process in the July thread linked by Tony above? Is it still leaking after that?
