Company i worked for had three . But they were a pain to move , ya had to move a crane big enough to lift each half onto and off the truck at both ends and a TEAM of mechanic's . I personally never saw them run as they were setting in the far back of the yard still split in half . Now the new kid on the block for big dozers were the 9 G's That i got to run . They came to our yard by rail as we had a siding that we used to transport to the big away jobs . But we could load and haul a 9 on the two bigger lowboys when we had to . The one strip mine down at one of my friends farm used two of them old Euc.'s and had two for spare parts. Now one thing i do remember wasNON of the ones i have seen up close and personal were 6-71 powered as they had 6-110's , was this a field upgrade ?? don't know , i just know a 110 from a 71 as we had both and i worked on both , still have all my Detroit tools

At least some of those dozers were used. Here's one, and there only was one built, that reportedly is the largest ever built. It has never been used and has never left the town in Italy where it was built for construction in Libya that never happened. It is being used as an educational display.

That is the ACCO ''Super Bulldozer''. 183 tonnes and two 675 HP Cummins engines for 1350 HP. ACCO also made a 200 tonne ''Super Grader'', which has been scrapped.

they had one running at an auction 35 years ago & I couldn't resist climbing into the seat & fiddling with the controls. I raised the blade, then let it drop. A guy standing nearby flew 3 feet off the ground! The look on his face I still remember.

they have on the side buzzin dozen. More like the screaming meanie. With the least durable but most forgiving engine in it. Making the most noise for the least power. It is like a lot of low torque engines where all the torque is in the RPMs I'll take my Cats lots of power with lots of torque in them. Also the most durable engine just the least forgiving.

My local salvage yard has one and they use it when they prep a site for building. Back in the 80s I watched it work when they built their new used parts building. They start it and move it every year to keep it loose.
