Had the 80 running today. All the rewiring is done and tin work fixed. Even have the little red light on the back of the tractor working. Took it outside to give it a bath. Nice and warm here today. Have to put the tin back on now then try to find some weights for it. While I was waiting for parts for it I also fixed the wiring on an allis wd45 and kicked it out and put a new steering wheel and shaft on the Cockshutt 50 plus all the tin back on. Kicked it out today as well. Still waiting for the ign points for the w6 and then it can go out. Couldn’t find a good steering wheel for the Cockshutt so I picked one up that fits the JD D and other models of JD’s and I was surprised that it was the same over all dimensions as the old Cockshutt wheel. Cut the center hub out of both and welded the old hub in the new steering wheel and it looks good. I’ll post some pictures of the 80 after Christmas when the tins all back on. Merry Christmas to everyone and all the best in the New Year.

My passion is still Massey Harris but I like all old tractors. Merry Christmas everyone.
Strikes me as ironic that there sits the Cockshutt with a Buda engine, and right next to it is an AC, which about the time that the AC tractor was being built, AC was acquiring Buda. But I suppose in the changing fortunes of industry that is nothing unique.
Merry Christmas back at you, and thanks for the pictures, and all of the work behind them.

Makes me want to work on getting a passport, and then a trip up to see them in person. The collection just keeps getting bigger and more diverse. Merry Christmas to you and the family. steve

When I put a phase convertor on top my tool room in my shop I built an insulated "dog house" around it to suppress the noise. If noise from your compressor is annoying you might consider that.

I don’t find the compressor to be very noisy. But your idea is a great one. I’ve been using Milwaukee battery powered tools more than my air stuff lately so the compressor doesn’t run much. Thank you for the tip, Merry Christmas to you and your family.
