I posted a while back on my electric fence clicking on the phone line with one ground rod. I have a 4 leg windmill tower with ground rods at each leg(use for radio tower). Grounded charger to it and clicking went away. Did not want to run ground wire from there to location where I wanted fence charger. Eventually I put in 4 ground rods at fence charger, connected with #6 copper wire. Phone still clicked. Gritted my teeth and dug shallow trench for wire part of the way to building where charge is, ran copper wire along fence part of way, ran wire across rafters with insulators in shop to the last of the new ground rods. Clicking on phone stopped. Now the fence charger has 8 ground rods. Oh, I checked fence for shorts during the process. No shorts. I really appreciate the advice offered on here. One good bit of advice was to check the tightness of the household ground at box, as I understand it. The box has one of those electricians locks on it and I haven't got anyone to check that yet. Don't know if the power company will do that or not. Thanks again.
