More progress on my Case shop

Well guys,
I drug the old 60's sign faces from our dealership up out of the cellar, washed them down as best I could with rags and soap and water. (way too cold to pressure wash them outside). Just faces that I removed when the new logo was introduced in late 1969. Our dealership sign was located out close to US Rt 20. These sign faces suffered some "brown bottle" attacks. I also have the newer style Block Letter faces from our sign. Unfortunately, I was eccouraged to leave the sign frame and pole, because of Lady Bird Johnson's initiative to beautify the nations highways. Our sign was too close to US20, but had been there long enough that it was "grandfathered", so when we closed all I could remove was the faces. The sign is still in use as I post by the current owner of the buildings, with his faces installed.
The second pic is of my dreaded north shop wall, facing the farm. I have thrown everything that way so I could complete the bench and drawer system on the south/house wall. There are steel stock racks that I have piled new and reclaimed steel stock on for the last 15 yrs. Gota tear it all down and rebuild and reorginize it again after the walls are painted.
Dam! I have sure made me a lot of work for this winter. HeHe.

Loren, I remember those signs, as we had them too, and ours I"m sure went into the garbage! Gee Loren you have them were they should be, so you can enjoy them! Love to have them!
Great post! Like what your doing to your shop

Love the pics Loren, wondering if your working harder after retirement than before tho. Take it easy my friend.

I'm glad you included that second pic. You've been setting the bar way too high for the rest of us with your neat shop. We knew there had to be an iron pile somewhere. But I have to say that even your scrap pile is a lot neater than mine. LOL. ADB
