I have never operated a scraper, but as an on site construction inspector, I marvel at the operators who know by feel how far to lower the cutting edge. I have seen the results of someone getting the feel for it as the cut soil looked like a washboard, or a jagged saw blade. Amazing what even a lower powered machine can do when only taking a half an inch at a time , much better than a shovel and wheelbarrow. lol gobble

When I enlarged my pond, I pulled one about that size with a 49 LA Case.
Those LA's had some lugging power.

I was wondering the same thing. I have a scraper not much bigger that makes a 135 hp tractor snort, but that's in clay dirt.
