Most reliable/depenable

Have to be the 45 farmall h dad bought in 63. Been here every since. Followed close by a ford 5600 i bought in 78 and traded in 99 for a caseih cx90. Even the cx90 has been very reliable.

My 806 with a turbo, and 38 in tires,it never says no, i like to stick my head out the window, and listen to the exhaust pipe!!

I find this difficult to admit being the Oliver guy I am but it has to be the 710 JD. It has done more work for me personally and my Dad before me than all the Olivers we have ever owned! It had a major over haul when I was somewhere around 12 years old, so 50 years ago. The fellow that overhauled it was known to partake in the odd beer and on the night he put the engine back together he had partaken quite a bit more than his fair share. I can remember Dad having to leave the shop to go do the milking and telling me to keep an eye on the mechanic while he was gone. I asked him what I was supposed to do? Dad says if he goes to fall over dont let him hit his head on the floor So I watched him put the sleeves and pistons in while Dad did the milking. This tractor is still one of the most used to this day with only minor repairs! There is something to be said about German built tractors. ( and drunk mechanics!!)

Several. 1969 4020 dad bought new. Over 30,000 hours on it, runs daily.

John Deere 4230- runs daily on the feed mixer, rolled over 40,000 hours 2 months ago. Original tach! But needs replacement soon.

John Deere 4450 and 55. Not nearly as many hours, but very very dependable.

20-30k hours with no overhauls? I have seen many 4020s get to 5000 hrs and need an overhaul. Even under great care. Im not sure why

Red stripe WFE 2-85 has been a best buy. One main clutch, one water pump, and a new set of tires plus two batteries is all we have ever had to do to this tractor. It has about 6500 hours on it and is approaching its first overhaul. I believe the WFE Red stripe tractors are some of the most reliable tractors. We have a White 2-105 that has required more maintenance than the WFE 2-85. It has had a new turbo, new hydaulic pump, pto seals, brake rebuilds, water pump, new hydraulic control valves and a complete paint job. It has only 4500 hours and has been always stored inside I think the WFE ownership of White-Oliver had much better quality control when building the tractors.

1966 Massey Ferguson 135 with the Z-145 Continental gas engine, dad bought it new and I still use it today, it will start (in cold weather) when nothing else will. It has been a very dependable tractor. I remember jumping our trucks and cars with it when I was a kid, now we have jump starters.

They've had work done. 4230 has had 2 overhauls... one at about 5000 hours, one at 27 k or so. It doesn't work hard for long on the mixer. One clutch replacement in that time. Considering people are riding it all day unloading, I think that's pretty good.

For here it would be the Farmall 100 bought new to this farm in 1956. The rear wheels have practically been ran off twice and has had 1 major engine overhaul done in Oct of 1983. It has had a daily task from new till approximately 5 yrs ago. Still going strong. The next runner up would be the larger Boxcar Magnums bought used by me and dad.

1951 Super C. I rebuilt the engine in the early 70's & it is still going strong. New rubber all around in the last 10 years.

1967 Ford 5000 diesel with SOS. Starts easy, works hard. It is my favorite tractor for making hay (yes, those awful small squares).
