Has anyone seen one of these Motts? It is 6 ft, fine cut and offset to the left...and actually Runs a lot better than it looks.

I would like to know the model number and approx years made. It can be center mounted with an extension, but I am fine with it being offset.
Also, there is a bushing with a special nut that has a grease zerk on the roller on one side and the other side is missing it...ideas on putting some kind of bearing/bushing?

I have a 4 foot Mott and the nuts on the roller ends are just a deep nut that is drilled out so the zerk is recessed. The zerk is screwed into the shaft. Maybe that's
what you have.

That offset would be good for mowing around fields and fence rows.

yes, plus it is nice only having one tire crushing weeds instead of 2. Though, I have to figure out the one bearing/bushing

The PO was using a bungy cord to keep tension on the idler pulley but I think that is insufficient at best. My Ford 907 has a very sturdy hook bolt that you have to really crank down on so as not the slip the C-53 belt in the rough, 3 foot tall weeds. I can't imagine a tension spring being enough at all. Thoughts?

You could try contacting Alamo Industrial. They bought Mott back in the early 1980's.
