Mounting 2000 loader on 656

Any tips on the easiest method for mounting the loader? It is all set up for the 656, I just need to put it on. Seems like I always need to do a lot of screwing around with a second loader tractor to get a loader mounted, and Im thinking there must be an easier way.

Also, Im going to plumb the loader to a joystick connected to a power beyond plate so I can use the regular remote valves for other things. I have no experience with joystick valves. Any recommendations on make/model? I know to look for open center and a float function.

Thanks!

I mounted a 2000 loader on a 460 a couple
years ago and with side mounting brackets
separated you can bolt them on by hand. Then
I got boom mounted using a bumper Jack and
55 gallon barrel. I think it's better to
just use tractor valves. Mine has 3 with
fast hitch so if I need machine I just
unplug bucket tilt at rear.

You need some way to support it while you mount it.So unless it has stands, you're kind of stuck useing a loader. Or a big tree or other kind of hoisting devise. A couple of barrels and handyman
jack is not safe, but may be your only option.I just plug loader valve into one spool . secure it back,it works fine. However, the loader is only on occationally for short periods of time, like over
the winter months. And it takes less than 5 min to mount.

Below is picture of parking legs that were available for IH 2000 and 2001 loaders . Those parking legs would work well for a narrow front ( tricycle ) tractor. Don't know it it would work so well with a wide front tractor.

I can't see why you couldn't build a set of parking stands that would clear a wide front using that picture as reference.

Last time I saw a 2000 loader get unmounted, a bunch of guys just picked it up and carried it off the tractor. It was at an auction so there was plenty of help around.

I've seen them hanging from tree branches with a chain fall or come-along too.
