Mounting exhaust manifold

Getting ready to reinstall the manifold on a Ford NAA that we have been going over. The block is now filled with
some muffle patch and sanded flat and smooth in aa few small areas where there was some wear. Have also treated
some small wear areas on the manifold the smae way.

Would it be a good idea to use some copper head gasket sealer on both sides of the gasket when reassembling ?

Thank you for any help you can give me !

Why don't you get a new manifold and put it in, no goop needed, but get new gaskets too and clean all old material off first, the 7/16 Brass Hex Nuts. It's not a big job just time consuming as removing all the other parts first is the key. Why do a band-aid job? Drain some coolant out first.
