Movin' Hay

A little slow, however we're gettin' 'er.

My darned chain mover is more than a bit "aggresive" on the bales' twine when it loads. So, I'm doing it the old fashioned way and puttin' 'em on with the loader.

Alfalfa hay pretty well stays put if ya loose a string, but I just don't want to take a chance of that wheat hay coming unraveled before I get it parked. :>(

Kind of a long drawn out affair, but it sure beats overhauling automatic transmissions on the Chevies like I used to have to do. :>)

More fun than a 706 and a bale fork and 75 bales like I used to do it , one at a time .

Whoa, whoa, whoa. I thought you only had one of those big cab tractors? I can't keep up with you endevors. What models are those two big ol hoss's?

I know, I know. I'll be the first to admit that I'm kinda overstocked on red tractors.

The loader is on the 1066 and the hay sled is hooked to the 966.

However, just to keep the record straight, here's a picture of my pulling tractor. :>)

Think the hay for the most part is gonna end up being plumb good. There were a few bales that I did on that first day that showed some signs of being too wet 'cause they squatted pretty good.

Think I will wait on moving them in and place those jokers on the outside of the pile.

But, get this; I'm losing the battle tho.

Got hay running out my ears and nowhere to put it. Wife up and buys a trailer load of small squares to feed her horses. Think I might be living in the wrong darned house or something. :>(
