Moving a little snow (pic)

This is the smallest and at 41 years old, the youngest "tractor"
on the Royse snow moving team. It doesn't know it's a LGT. LOL
After 4 hours on it today, I can honestly say its the least comfortable too!
Sometimes it is simply the right tool for the job.

That's just the right size for me to use on our upper drive, and front parking. I'm thinki'n about looking for a used one, especially one with a cab and blower just like yers'.

Had a 'few' loose min's, and just sat down here for a little break, on the forum.
Gotta go put Les, into the shower, then into bed for her mid-day nap.

Not too many 'loose min's in a day ........(Ya know????!!) :lol:

I picked this one up used several years ago, complete with the
original Ford cab, blower, tire chains and mower deck.
The deck weighs as much as some big box store riders!

I got a good deal on it (I about stole it) because it was "old".
12 horsepower single cylinder cast iron Kohler. Unbeatable.

Normally I think the hydrostatic drive is more expense than its
worth, but running the snowblower is one place it really shines.
For a single stage blower, it moves an amazing amount of snow.

Keep doing what you're doing Gary. I was thinking of your snow
cake pictures when I blew through the drifts out here.
Looked like slicing a cake! Give Les a hug for us!

What a great set-up! A friend of mine had the same minus the cab. Unbeknownst to me, he sold it this fall. Had I know, I would have scooped it right up.

I really don't think I'd like it much without that cab.
You'd be 100% covered and soaked to the bone!
Of course you could make just about any soft side fit it.

Anything would be an improvement over my Toro 421 (great machine, though). I look like an animated snow man regardless, and if this set-up took a bigger bite, then I'd be a happy snow man.

Hoping to find a 5 or 6 footer pull type blower this spring at one of the big consignment auctions that come up.

No kidding. The first year we had our house here in town, we had about 80" of snowfall. It would take my wife and I about 3 hours to shovel. Didn't snow at all the next year. Last year we had over 100" of snowfall. I tried pushing with the 2N, but I ran out of places to put the snow. My Grandfather's Toro saved the day. Takes about 30 minutes to finish the entire drive.

Royce heres mine I built the tubular frame and my wife sewed the enclosure. The Cub does a good job but I sure like the look of that ford.

You know what I mean about that blowing snow.
It would NOT be pleasant without the little cab.

Love those old Ford/Jacobsen LGT's.
I got four of them. I'd never sell them!
I see no wheel weights? Have you got a weight box on back?
I use weights on all fours, chains in the back and all the extra weight I've got in my weight box.

I'd like to get a set of weights for it, but no, none at all.
Unless you count my fat butt! LOL
I got it hung up once today, not too bad considering.
I plowed drifts that were 4 feet tall.

I have a big blower powered by a 12 horse Honda that goes
on my 4 wheeler that I bought to plow out the road to camp
up in NY which usually took some time because I only got up
there once a month or so, but it did a fine job. The year we
moved to Ohio, we got a 16 inch snowfall and I used it to
plow the driveway - spent about 3 days in the spring fetching
all the limestone off the lawn back into the driveway from 40
feet away - now use the tractor and backblade - I suppose if
we get 2 -3 feet again, I'll have to use the blower.
