Mower blade removal

Need advice on removing blades from 54 in deck on a John Deere 425. Remove easy last year..this year 2 are frozen. Seems to be a metric 19 mm head, but it is loose and wants to slip around the corners.

A 6-point socket might not slip as much or maybe an english size will go on there wiht some tapping. I would hammer the end of the bolt, which might break any rust loose. May have to use a large pair of vice grips if everything else slips, then replae the bolts.

I think they are 18mm. Use a torch, get them hot and let them cool. Then use a impact wrench.

Yes they're 18 mm, I have the same tractor and mower, always use an impact to get them off. I guess on the bright side, they won't fall off when mowing!
